NOLA Citizens Gather for Prayer Saturday July 23 @ Lee Circle!

New Orleans Locals Plan Prayer Meet at Lee Circle

NOLA locals are gathering for a morning of prayer Saturday July 23rd at Lee Circle for 11am.

Churches, non-profits and community leaders plan to unify and stand on the grounds of Lee Circle to pray and lead a peaceful session of encouragement, upliftment and inspiration to the community.

One Accord Ministries and Spiritual Homies who are known for community outreach events, formed this prayer meet because of the most recent events taking place around America. From the killing of Alton Sterling, Philado Castille, Dallas Police officers, Orlando Shootings, etc. These organizations believe that prayer can change the hearts of many and can help heal those who are hurting in this time of chaos.

“It’s our responsibility as believers in Christ to stand up for what we believe in and we believe in spreading love, encouraging our community and praying to God for his power. Only God can move the hearts of people and heal our land”, says Naomi Galatas of Spiritual Homies.

“We must pray to see the atmosphere change. 2 Chronicles7:14 says, “If my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and I will forgive their sin and will heal their land.” And that is what our business is about, calling on God and humbling ourselves to see a revival”, says Ander “Rebirth” Pellerano of One Accord Ministries.

This past week Pellerano lead hundreds in prayer at the convenience store where Alton Sterling was killed in Baton Rouge. Pellerano also had a chance to share his ex-convict life story and lead protesters in prayer. The video is so powerful, that it’s soon to go viral via Facebook. View here.

Not only is One Accord Ministries bringing light to reality but also to Social Media. Two weeks ago a video went viral of One Accord member Burke, praying with an officer the day after Alton Sterling was shot. The video reached over 10 million views and now online publications are bringing awareness to this uplifting moment.  View the viral video here.

What’s next for One Accord?  This weekend they will be teaming up with Spiritual Homies for a prayer meet at Lee Circle (Robert E. Lee Statue –landmark) in New Orleans for all cultures, races and religions, Saturday, July 23rd at 11:00 am.

Join us as we come together in peace and unity to spread love and Gospel of Jesus Christ in prayer and supplication!
